Agio Galas
Description
Agio Galas is built atop a rocky mountain 62.5 kms northwest by the city of Chios. Since the Byzantine era it represents a center of christian worshipping, especially due to Panagia Agiogalousena temple which is built inside one of the two big caves of the island. The settlement most probably took it's name by the milky fluid flowing by its stalactites. Below the roots of the village, strech numerous other smaller caves of rare beauty.
