The beach of Giosonas is one of the largest to be found at the norteastern parts of the island, 6 kms by the village of Kardamila. The scenery surrounding the beach offers a wild beauty, while at it's western side, the visitor can find one of the mosty spectacular gorges of Chios island.

According to the tradition, here stopped Iasonas with his "Argo" ship on his way to Kolhida, and thus the name of the settlement.

The crystal clear waters remind pictures of the Ionian sea ( western greece), while the sea usually is chilly here. By the beach one can find a modern bar with comfortable seabeds and umbrellas.
