Lithi, village of west Chios 23,5 kms by the city of Chios, is a mastihohori ( mastic producing village ), hometown of Andreas Sigros - national benefactor - and also the place that served as a teacher Agios/Saint Nektarios around 1870. Etymology of it's name derives from the phrase ''Alithis Limin'' meaning a true port.
1,5 km by the village is situated the beautiful natural smallport Lithi-Port, that consists a fishing shelter and at the same time a hospitable beach with a combination of thick sand, small pebbles and crystal clear shallow waters. The physiology of the shore makes it ideal for games with sand! It is particularly prefferable by families with small children. After enjoying swimming, one can stroll at the shapped alley and enjoy delicious plates at it's renowned fish taverns. Those who remain at the beach during the sunset will enjoy an experience of astonishing beauty.
