The Byzantine Museum of Chios is hosted at the Ottoman mosque of Metzitie that was built after the benefaction of Sultan Abdul Mezit around middle 19th century at the square of the city of Chios. It consists of wooden roofed pre-entrance, the main hall that is covered by dome and a spacious basement. At it's pebble paved yard exist, at symetrical position, two similarly shaped stonebuilt structures.
